This is a unique place for a forest retreat in a remote and secluded location. Enjoy isolation, privacy and quietude whilst surrounded by nature. Sleep to the sound of our waterfalls and the water stream that crosses the property, and wake up to crickets and birds. During the warmer months it is great out, under the sun or the soothing shadow of one of our close to 70 species of trees, whereas in the colder months you’ll enjoy being inside looking at the alluring landscape that keeps changing throughout the year.

The accommodation area is 160 square metres, while the whole property is around 2 acres. We have two bedrooms, one with a King-size bed and the other with a double bed, a full bathroom with a bathtub for two, a toilet, a cozy space for reading and relaxing, a dining and living room, and two balconies. All rooms have windows or French windows facing outdoors, including the kitchen and both bathrooms (which are fitted with mirrored glasses). Outside you will find sun loungers, hammocks, chairs, stools, tables and sun umbrellas. Our kitchen is fitted with sink, dishwasher, refrigerator, top-stove, electrical oven, microwave oven, toaster, Nespresso coffee maker, electrical boiler, blender, and a hand blender. You will find salt, sugar, oil, olive oil, and vinegar.

The house was built in 2002, and has two floors: the upper floor is entirely at the disposal of one group of guests at a time, while the lower floor is reserved for the hosts. There are two bedrooms — King-size and double beds — (capacity is four people), a bathroom and a toilet, a corridor, a kitchen, a living and dining-room, a hall, a cozy space for reading and relaxing, and two balconies. All the spaces display large windows to the outside. There are indoors and outdoors dining areas. Not all forest area is easily accessible and as such our outdoors are not suited to people with mobility needs. Our grounds are not safe for unattended children, due to fall hazard in some spots. The neighbouring zone is forest area with no houses around, typically very quiet. Around the property there are no shops or services, but at Sever do Vouga village (5 km away) — «the home of the blueberry» — you will find all kinds of useful services, as well as a number of tourist attractions. The property is 80 km (60 min) by car away from Porto’s airport, 45 km (40 min) from Aveiro’s railway station, and 20 km (30 min) from Albergaria-a-Velha’s bus terminal.

Information you need to know before booking a stay
House rules
~ Minimum length of stay is 3 nights and maximum 14 nights (most common stay length is 7 nights). ~ Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. ~ Wi-Fi is available inside and around the house (speed is typically 50 Mb). ~ Naturism is welcome, we’re a naturist-friendly property. ~ We are not equipped or prepared to host babies or infants. ~ Our grounds are not suited to unattended infants due to fall hazard. ~ Please mind the occasional presence of bees, mosquitos or spiders if you’re sensitive to them. ~ Please be aware that from time to time agricultural or forest work related noises may be heard in the vicinity. ~ Smoking is not allowed indoors but is OK outdoors using the ashtray. ~ Fire is not allowed outdoors, due to fire hazard. ~ No pets allowed under any circumstance. ~ Photographic or video shoots for commercial purposes are not allowed. ~ Due to legal, insurance, and logistic reasons capacity is 4 registered guests, and no visitors are allowed. Under no circumstance will we host more than 4 people, regardless of their ages. ~ Functions, events or parties are not allowed. ~ Under Portuguese law all non-Portuguese guests must provide their ID. ~ There is no cleaning service, towel or linen exchange during stays up to 7 nights. ~ The TV set is not connected to the Internet or streaming services but you may use it with Android or HDMI devices. ~ The agricultural area of our property is unavailable for guests. ~ Check-in is from 2 PM, and check-out is until 2 PM. ~ One of your hosts will be at the property during check-in and check-out, and may eventually also be there for brief periods during your stay. However, they will always be a phone call or text away in order to assist you in your needs.
